At Capitoline Products, Inc., environmental responsibility is a continuous process.  As an assembler of raw materials, our challenge is to constantly measure the environmental resources of our suppliers and their materials for our products: post form countertops, high pressure laminated panels and finished high pressure panel component parts, plus extended plywoods.

We support sustainable building programs and green build projects, understanding how important it is to work with our customers to achieve and source the necessary specified materials to meet their project LEED requirements.

Examples of stock materials at Capitoline for meeting “green” build projects for environmental friendly interiors include:

• Low-emitting particleboard, MDF, and plywood materials with non added urea-formaldehyde (NAUF)
• Low-emitting and water based laminating adhesives with non added urea-formaldehyde.
• Certified wood, recycled content materials, regional materials 10 percent or 20 percent extracted, processed and manufactured regionally.

FSC Certification

Capitoline Products, Inc. has earned the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody Certification.  Products with the FSC label ensure that products were sourced from responsibly managed forest.  You can find Capitoline’s’ certification listed at: www.fscus.org/certified_companies

FSC chain of custody certification verifies FSC certified forest products through the production chain. FSC chain of custody (CoC) certification is for companies that manufacture, process or trade in timber or non-timber forest products and want to demonstrate to their customers that they use responsibly produced raw materials. FSC chain of custody helps companies to strengthen their sourcing policies and comply with public or private procurement policies where FSC is the preferred option.
